Jorge is the CEO of Symphonic Distribution, one of the leading independent partners for digital music distribution services to stores such as iTunes, Beatport, Amazon, Spotify and more.
Because Jorge Brea wasn’t backed by a big record label a decade ago when he was a DJ and producer, he was having trouble getting his music out.
So in 2006, with no venture capital or outside funding, he started a company at his parents’ house in Tampa, FL that would make it easier for him and his peers to get heard.
The days of this small startup are long gone, however. Today the company has distributed over 300,000 releases of over 7,000 record labels and 15,000 artists around the globe and paid out over 8 million in royalties.
Symphonic continues to develop new technologies in the form of in-house systems and have expanded offerings to include marketing, sync licensing, publishing administration, graphic design services, and more.
Their team of 12 passionate individuals pride themselves on quick responses and direct one-on-one conversations and advising with clients, from the basics of managing a social network to mastering and brand development to fine-tuning a marketing plan. Their goal is to become the one-stop shop for the music industry while maintaining a personalized approach with our clients.
In Jorge’s spare time he loves to attend concerts, play racket ball, travel and enjoy a nice mojito in the sunny beaches of Florida with his wife.
